BfG & Anne (BoneFriday) were accompanied by Chris & Lee
(BoneBoy & BoneGirl) for the first week...
Saturday:
Sunday:
Monday:
They investigated several local flats, BoneBoy caught 3 medium size bones and BfG one.
Tuesday:
Spring tides brought a big school of fish onto a nearby sandy flat where they caught 15 bones to 3lb in the morning, plus another 2 from the harbour on the ebb tide in the afternoon. A 17-fish day!
Wednesday:
Thursday:
BfG & BoneBoy took
their ladies out for the day but forgot to leave their rods behind! The strong
wind had
suddenly veered 180° to the NW making the fish scarce on the flats.
BfG saw a few big bones but caught none. BoneBoy
& BoneGirl went North and
found a few more bones, catching a nice one of 3½lb (skillful joint effort!)
from a sheltered bay.
Friday:
BfG & BoneBoy did quite a lot of "research & development" during that first week but still managed to catch 50 bonefish, 58 when you include their friend Bob's catch on Friday.
On Saturday they were joined by virgin fly-fisher Ian "BoneAlone" Rouault together with old friends Barry Abbott & Barry Read (aka BoneIdle & BoneLately). Here are a few memories of that remarkable week...
Saturday:
Sunday:
Monday:
Tuesday:
Wednesday:
Thursday:
They split into 3 teams... BfG (chaperoned by BoneFriday) went South with BoneGirl, BoneIdle & BoneAlone went further South and caught 4 bones each, and BoneLately fished up North in
difficult conditions with Bone-Boy who caught 2 nice bones.
Friday:
The girls chilled out while all the boys went North. and caught a total of 32 bones to 3½lb.
Saturday:
A few hour to kill before the flight to Nassau so BoneBoy goes snorkelling in front off the Inn...
