ELEUTHERA, BAHAMAS, WINTER 2002

This Winter, BfC hosted four anglers for each of the two weeks. Barry Lloyd and Chris Glover stayed for the whole two weeks. Bryan Ashfield and Simon Belcher came for the first week only then John & Howard Bussey arrived for the second week. Barry, John & Howard fished with us last winter, the others had little or no experience of bonefishing.

For those who are interested in statistics:

Every angler caught bonefish on fly...
In the first week Barry caught 4, Chris 0, Bryan 3, Simon 4 and BfC 2 (before the others arrived, then didn't fish until the 2nd week) - the weather was against them with strong winds and cloudy skies.
On the second week conditions improved - Barry caught another 12, Chris broke his duck with 6, John 21, Howard 5 and BfC 7.
BfC caught the heaviest fish at 5lb and both Barry and John caught several 3lb+ bones, their heaviest each weighing 4¼lb. John also caught the smallest at an estimated 8oz!
Total for the 2 weeks: 73 bonefish averaging 2lb
