Wednesday: Pete & the girls take the day off... ...and continue celebrating yesterday's success at the Coral Sands Hotel Meanwhile BfG was busy catching 13 small bones, plus this big brown one*... ...which had attacked his size 6 Gotcha. Thursday: Doc & BfG drive up* south and catch a few nice bones on the way... ...good job they did because although it looks 'fishy' they find few fish to cast to further south. Meanwhile Bone-Boy & Girl go north where they find a shed-load* of bones feeding on clean sand... ...Bone-Girl lands 4 bones and Bone-Boy matches BfG's catch of yesterday with 13! Friday, the last day, BfG takes both Docs & Kathy north: Nervous water*, an amazing sight as a shed-load* of fish disturb the otherwise placid water... ...Kathy hooks a good bone... ...and plays it superbly... ...3lb, her biggest and a great way to end the week. Meanwhile, Bone-Boy discovers some big* bones feeding in the mangroves but it would be unethical to fish for them in such a snaggy place. High tide so time for lunch and some R&R before they head back towards the Inn... ...but BfG has a cunning plan and takes his team to a normally unproductive beach where Doc hooks the smaller of two very big bones*... ...7½lb - the heaviest landed this trip, and a great way to end the holiday. Our last tropical sunset (until April) and one of the most beautiful.
