HOLIDAY PHOTOS & DIARY

ELEUTHERA, BAHAMAS, WINTER 2009
(7th November - 5th December)

Please point cursor at photo to see text, then left-click to enlarge in a new window.

Week 1 (7th - 14th Nov)
BfG and Anne arrive with "regulars" Doc, BoneDry and SavannahMan, together with Nick who fished with us for the first time in March.

Once again we were greeted with strong easterly winds which stayed with us until Thursday, then veered westerly. Fortunately the tide times favoured the lee side of the island for the first few days...

Total bonefish this week: 38

Week 2 (14th - 21st Nov)
Same team as the first week but with the addition of 'bone-virgin' Mike...

...and the weather improves slightly...

Total bonefish this week: 30

Week 3 (21st - 28th Nov)
Week 2 team (except BfG) depart and are replaced by regulars BoneAlone, Sue & Nigel (aka Minty) and newcomers Keith, Big Pete, Gary & Dave...

Only Gary & Dave are bone-virgins, but not for much longer...

Total bonefish this week: 32

Week 4 (28th Nov - 5th Dec)
Big Pete, Gary & Dave depart, replaced by Keith's friend Bill and regulars Geoff & Eddie....

All except Bill have bonefished in the Bahamas...

Total bonefish this week: 28

Why not join us on our next Bonefish Adventure and see your photos on our Holiday Photos & Diary
pages?
Many of our clients return year after year, not because they catch lots of big fish, but because stalking bonefish on foot is a challenge, and so much more rewarding when you succeed without the help of a professional guide. Another reason is that they prefer not to be committed to a rigid timetable of getting into a boat and fishing for 6 hours every day, while letting the guide find the fish and make all the decisions!

However, don't worry if you are not an experienced bonefisher - newcomers will fish with Bonefish Graham and some of our "regulars" for the first few days to gain experience, usually by practicing on smaller bonefish in schools of "happy fish" before learning how to stalk the more wary, larger bones.
